Ingram Micro has officially opened its new downtown Buffalo, N.Y. office with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring remarks from company executives and Buffalo Mayor Sean Ryan. The event marked a major milestone in the company’s 40-year presence in Buffalo.

Located just steps from City Hall and the waterfront, the new office reflects Ingram Micro’s continued commitment to Buffalo and its role in the city’s ongoing revitalization.

“As our business has evolved, so has the way we work,” Ingram Micro EVP and President North America Bill Brandel said at the event held in April. “We intentionally designed this space to support connection, creativity, and speed. It enables our associates to come together in new ways to best serve our customers and partners.”

The new 160,000-square-foot Buffalo office is globally recognized as a green building by the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design rating system (LEED Silver-certified) and accommodates approximately 1,200 associates. It features the latest workplace amenities that support collaboration and innovation, while also serving as a meeting space for Ingram Micro’s customers and partners year-round.

“I’m proud to welcome Ingram Micro to downtown Buffalo and to see the former Highmark building back in use,” Ryan said. “Bringing more employees downtown is one important piece of our plan to make downtown Buffalo a 24/7destination. It means more foot traffic, more customers for local businesses, and another step toward building a downtown that’s active, vibrant, and open for business.”

Beyond Buffalo, Ingram Micro also recently opened new offices in Bulgaria and Thailand and a new warehouse in Kochi, India, reflecting the company’s continued global growth.

Ingram Micro is a global B2B technology platform company with more than 22,000 associates worldwide. With more than 165,000 customers and approximately 1,500 vendor partners, Ingram Micro is a Fortune 100 entity that operates in 57 countries and has the ability to serve nearly 90% of the global population. Now trading on the New York Stock Exchange, Platinum Equity acquired Ingram Micro from HNA Group in a private transaction in July 2021.
