Variety: Deluxe Announces Localization Partnership with Tokyo-based Tohokushinsha

Deluxe recently announced a “strategic partnership” with Tokyo-based Tohokushinsha Film Corporation to “expand localization services across the Asia-Pacific region,” according to Variety.

Variety writes the non-exclusive deal combines Deluxe Media Inc.’s relationships with leading studios and streamers, global scale and technology-driven localization knowledge with Tohokushinsha’s decades of creative expertise and market knowledge in Japan. The companies said the partnership will expand localization capacity to meet growing demand for high-quality localized content across Asia-Pacific and worldwide.

Deluxe provides mastering, localization, distribution, platform and fulfillment services to the world’s leading content production studios. Since Platinum Equity’s acquisition in 2020, the company has made several notable add-on acquisitions.

TFC is a major Japanese film distributor, production company and media localization studio.
