Jacob Kotzubei is co-president of Platinum Equity and a member of its Investment Committee. Among his responsibilities, Mr. Kotzubei leads the investment team for the Los Angeles headquarters and has oversight responsibility for the investment team in Asia. In addition, Mr. Kotzubei plays an active role in the management of the firm’s day-to-day activities as well as its strategic direction.

SourceOne Healthcare (formerly Diagnostic Imaging), Geologic, CompuCom Systems, Turf Care Supply (formerly a division of Lesco), ESM Group, PNA Group, SDI, Broadleaf Logistic (formerly Canwel Building Products, a division acquired from Weyerhaeuser), Ryerson, SCM Metal Products and Ecka Granules, Ahern Rentals, Canvas Systems, KEMET Corporation, Pomeroy, Schutt Sports, Keystone Automotive, Aquilex, Neovia Logistics (formerly Caterpillar Logistics Services), Artesyn Embedded Technologies (formerly Emerson Embedded Computing & Power), Terratest, PrimeSource, Data Blue, Elevate Textiles (formerly International Textile Group), Vertiv (formerly the Network Power division of Emerson), Interior Logic Group, Verra Mobility, Yak Access, LifeScan (formerly a division of Johnson & Johnson), Sigura (formerly the Innovative Water Care division of Lonza), Centerfield, Cision, CabinetWorks, Club Car (formerly a division of Ingersoll Rand), Ingram Micro (formerly owned by HNA Technology), McGraw Hill Education and Solenis, including related add-ons, financings and refinancings.

Mr. Kotzubei is a member of the board of directors at Ryerson (NYSE: RYI) and Vertiv (NYSE: VRT).

Mr. Kotzubei has more than 25 years of M&A experience, including substantial complex carve-out and public-to-private experience in numerous industries and countries. Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 2002, Mr. Kotzubei was a vice president of the High Tech group at Goldman Sachs and was head of the East Coast Semiconductor group. Previously, he was an M&A attorney with Sullivan & Cromwell in New York.

Mr. Kotzubei received his B.A. from Wesleyan University and his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law where he was elected as a member of the Columbia Law Review. He is a retired member of the New York State Bar.
