Louis Samson is co-president of Platinum Equity and a member of its Investment Committee. Among his responsibilities, Mr. Samson leads the investment teams and manages the operations of the New York, Greenwich and London offices. In addition, Mr. Samson plays an active role in the management of the firm’s day-to-day activities as well as its strategic direction.

Mr. Samson and his team led the acquisition of, divestment of or investment in the following:

Maxim Crane Works, The San Diego Union-Tribune, PBH Marine Group, American Commercial Lines, NESCO, BWAY, Exterion Media, BlueLine Rental (formerly Volvo Rents), MACtac (Europe and the United States), Worldwide Flight Services, Electro Rent, PAE, United Site Services, Incora (formerly Pattonair and Wesco), Husky Injection Moldings, Awaze (formerly Wyndham Vacation Rentals), Hunterstown Power Generation, Ball Metalpack, Jostens, Multi-Color, Iberconsa, Livingston, TruckPro, De Wave, Biscuit International, Fantini (formerly Farnese), NDC, Custom Truck One Source (which combined with the public company Nesco), SVP Worldwide, Urbaser, Oregon Tool, LRG and Calderys (which combined with Harbison Walker), including related add-ons, financings and refinancings.

Mr. Samson is a member of the board of directors of Custom Truck One Source (NYSE: CTOS).

Mr. Samson has over 25 years of mergers and acquisitions experience, including substantial complex carve-out and public-to-private experience in numerous industries and countries. Prior to joining Platinum Equity, he was a managing director in the Mergers & Acquisitions group at CIBC World Markets and was an M&A lawyer with Stikeman Elliott.

Mr. Samson is a graduate of Ottawa University Law School and Le Petit Séminaire de Québec. He is a retired member of the Quebec Bar.
