Platinum Equity's Club Room Conversation: The Urbaser Transformation

Platinum Equity Co-President Louis Samson and members of our European team joined Urbaser executives in our London Office Club Room to discuss Urbaser’s transformation into a leading infrastructure platform.

In October 2021, Platinum Equity purchased Urbaser, a Madrid-based, global environmental services provider for $4.2 billion (€3.5 billion). Over the course of five years, Platinum Equity and Urbaser partnered to create value through the combination of strategic M&A, active portfolio management, operational improvement, and disciplined capital allocation. In September 2026, Platinum Equity completed the sale of Urbaser to Blackstone and EQT in a transaction valued at approximately $6.6 billion (€5.6 billion).
