Katie Hulgrave leads Platinum Equity’s corporate marketing function, inclusive of brand, campaigns, design, digital and events. Ms. Hulgrave joined Platinum Equity in 2013. She previously held positions at HP and in the Worldwide Marcom group at Apple. She began her career at Deutsch, working on accounts such as Coors Light, Old Navy and Mitsubishi. Ms. Hulgrave holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from the Honors College at Michigan State University and a Master of Science from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.

Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 2011, Mr. Hunt held positions at RSM and KPMG. Jared Hutchins is responsible for managing the transition of newly acquired companies into Platinum Equity’s portfolio. Mr. Itani holds a bachelor’s degree from Imperial College and a master’s degree in Business Administration from London Business School.

Bryan Kelln is a Partner and member of Platinum Equity’s Investment Committee, where he evaluates and approves investment activities across the firm’s Flagship and Small Cap funds. In addition, he serves as a director and board member of several portfolio companies and is a senior adviser on key strategic initiatives across the firm and its portfolio.
Mr. Kelln joined Platinum Equity in 2008 and, until 2024, served as the President of Global Portfolio Operations where he led and developed the structure and capabilities of Platinum Equity’s operations team and was responsible for portfolio company transformation and value creation.

Robert Klap is a member of the Investor Relations team, based in London, and is responsible for global functions connected to capital raising, fund administration and investor relations. Mr. Klap joined Platinum in 2011, but began his career at Coopers & Lybrand Management Consultants. He later worked for PBOD and in the alternative investment departments of MN and Shell. Most recently, Mr. Klap was employed by UBS, where he was involved in managing private equity investments for the bank’s wealth management group. Mr. Klap received his Master of Science from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Renee Koontz is responsible for managing the transition of newly acquired companies into Platinum Equity’s portfolio. Ms. Koontz’s duties include formulating business plans for functional departments such as finance, sales, marketing, customer service and human resources, and driving restructuring business processes as necessary. As a member of the operating council for select portfolio companies, she also has responsibilities related to post-transition monitoring and oversight of operational performance. Ms. Koontz was the Director of Operations for Milgo Solutions, a Platinum Equity portfolio company in 1999, and subsequently joined Platinum Equity’s in-house operations team in 2001.

Jacob Kotzubei is co-president of Platinum Equity and a member of its Investment Committee. Among his responsibilities, Mr. Kotzubei leads the investment team for the Los Angeles headquarters and has oversight responsibility for the investment team in Asia. In addition, Mr. Kotzubei plays an active role in the management of the firm’s day-to-day activities as well as its strategic direction.
