Robert Wentworth

Robert Wentworth participates in senior-level merger and acquisition activities for Platinum Equity and is a member of the Investment Committee. Mr. Wentworth was previously president and chief executive officer for the North American operations of Platinum portfolio company NextiraOne, where he led its formation and served as its CEO since its inception in 2001.

Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 1997, Mr. Wentworth was president and chief executive officer at Alden Electronics, where he also served as the company’s chief financial officer. Previously, Mr. Wentworth served as a certified public accountant for 14 years with Ernst & Young.

Mr. Wentworth grew up in Massachusetts and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at Bentley College.

Tae Ho Whang

Tae Ho Whang is responsible for the structuring and execution of acquisition and divestiture transactions. He also has responsibilities related to post-acquisition monitoring and oversight of operational performance at select portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 2013, Mr. Whang held positions at Standard Chartered Bank’s M&A department in Singapore and Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Investment Banking department in Hong Kong.

Mr. Whang holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with Honors from the University of Chicago.

Dan Whelan is responsible for corporate communications, marketing and media relations, and provides support for select investor relations functions.

Mr. Whelan joined Platinum Equity in 2008. He previously held positions at Amgen, Burson-Marsteller, and Fleishman-Hillard.

Mr. Whelan holds an undergraduate degree from Miami University.

David Wolf is responsible for financial due diligence and supports the structuring and execution of acquisition and divestiture transactions. As a member of the operating council for the New York team’s portfolio companies, he also has responsibilities related to post-acquisition monitoring and oversight of financial performance.

Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 2009, Mr. Wolf held positions at Ernst & Young and Crowe Chizek.

Mr. Wolf holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He previously worked as a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Illinois.

Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 2022, Mr. Wong held positions at FTI Consulting, A.S. Watson Group, and Ferrier Hodgson.

Mr. Wong holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Macquarie University and has obtained certifications as a Chartered Accountant (Australia and New Zealand), Certified Public Accountant (Hong Kong) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA Charterholder, 2018-2022).

Eric Worley is responsible for financial due diligence and supports the structuring and execution of acquisition and divestiture transactions. As a member of the operating council for select portfolio companies, he also has responsibilities related to post-acquisition monitoring and oversight of financial performance.

Prior to joining Platinum in 2001, he spent eight years at Ernst & Young in its Transaction Support and Audit practices in Los Angeles and London. Mr. Worley received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Michigan State University and is a licensed CPA in the State of California (license currently inactive).

Bob Wymbs leads Platinum Equity’s dedicated in-house sell-side team. In that capacity, he is responsible for managing a broad range of strategic divestiture opportunities throughout Platinum Equity’s portfolio.

As part of his sell-side responsibilities, Mr. Wymbs has led and negotiated numerous transactions, including full or partial sales of NextiraOne, Clipper Windpower, AEES, Contego, Alliance Entertainment, Acument and many others.

Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 2000, Mr. Wymbs spent four years at the Los Angeles Dodgers and three years at McKinsey & Company, a management consulting firm. At the two firms, he held various positions in strategic development, business development, project management, operations and marketing.

As a member of Platinum Equity’s M&A Operations team, Eric Yap is responsible for performing operational and commercial due diligence on potential acquisition targets and for developing post-acquisition transition and value creation plans. He specializes in technology diligence.

Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 2015, Mr. Yap held positions at American Capital and The Home Depot.

Mr. Yap holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Colorado State University.

Marc Yassinger

Marc Yassinger is a member of the firm’s in-house tax department and is responsible for addressing tax issues relating to the firm’s M&A activities as well as the operations of the firm’s portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Platinum in 2000, Mr. Yassinger worked in Ernst & Young’s Mergers and Acquisitions Tax Group in Los Angeles, where he advised various private equity clients. Mr. Yassinger received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with an emphasis in Business Administration from UCLA and a JD from UC Hastings College of the Law.

As a member of Platinum Equity’s M&A Operations team, Benjamin York is responsible for performing operational and commercial due diligence on potential acquisition targets and for developing post-acquisition transition and value creation plans.

Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 2007, Mr. York was a Principal at Mercer Consulting.

Mr. York holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Sciences with Honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
