Jared Hutchins is responsible for managing the transition of newly acquired companies into Platinum Equity’s portfolio. He also has responsibilities related to post-transition monitoring and oversight of operational performance at select portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 2016, Mr. Hutchins held positions at TPG, Alvarez & Marsal and Textron.

Mr. Hutchins holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Supply Chain Management and Marketing from Texas Christian University.

Bryan Kelln is a partner, president of Portfolio Operations, and member of Platinum Equity’s Investment Committee. He is responsible for all aspects of business strategy and operations at Platinum Equity’s portfolio companies, and is involved in evaluating buy- and sell-side opportunities across the firm. He works closely with the firm’s Operations team as well as portfolio company executive management to drive strategic initiatives and to deploy operational resources.

Mr. Kelln is a seasoned executive with a strong track record of conceiving and executing successful strategic and operational transformation programs across a broad range of different industries. His unique combination of financial, management, M&A and operational expertise are well suited to helping create value within Platinum’s portfolio companies.

Renee Koontz is responsible for managing the transition of newly acquired companies into Platinum Equity’s portfolio.

Ms. Koontz’s duties include formulating business plans for functional departments such as finance, sales, marketing, customer service and human resources, and driving restructuring business processes as necessary. As a member of the operating council for select portfolio companies, she also has responsibilities related to post-transition monitoring and oversight of operational performance.

Ms. Koontz was the Director of Operations for Milgo Solutions, a Platinum Equity portfolio company in 1999, and subsequently joined Platinum Equity’s in-house operations team in 2001.

Brendon Kortekaas is responsible for managing the transition of newly acquired companies into Platinum Equity’s portfolio. He also has responsibilities related to post-transition monitoring and oversight of operational performance at certain portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 2016, Mr. Kortekaas worked at Oliver Wyman.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Western University and a Master of Business Administration from London Business School.

Stella Lee is responsible for managing the transition of newly acquired companies into Platinum Equity’s portfolio. She also has responsibilities related to post-transition monitoring and oversight of operational performance at certain portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 2019, Ms. Lee was an independent consultant and held positions at AlixPartners, Accunomics and Deloitte.

Ms. Lee holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer System Engineering from the University of Birmingham.

Daniel Madden is based in London and leads the Portfolio Operations team in Europe. He is responsible for managing the transition of newly acquired companies into Platinum Equity’s portfolio. He also has responsibilities related to post-transition monitoring and oversight of operational performance at our European headquartered portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Platinum Equity Mr. Madden worked at Marakon Associates in London and New York.

Mr. Madden holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Cambridge and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Columbia University.

Colin McDonald is responsible for managing the transition of newly acquired companies into Platinum Equity’s portfolio. He also has responsibilities related to post-transition monitoring and oversight of operational performance of several portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 2017, Mr. McDonald served as a Vice President at AlixPartners where he focused on restructuring, performance improvement, and acquisition integration strategies for private equity portfolio companies across a variety of industries. He has also held positions at G.E., JPMorgan and AllianceBernstein.

Mr. McDonald holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physics and Economics from Colgate University.

Phil Norment is a member of Platinum’s Investment Committee and is a senior advisor on specific operational initiatives throughout the portfolio. He is also the senior executive responsible for evaluating acquisition opportunities and integrating new acquisitions into the portfolio.

Prior to joining Platinum Equity in 1997, Mr. Norment served in a variety of management positions at a major software corporation. Over the course of 12 years, he worked in the areas of global support, operations, consultative services and sales support, achieving the position of chief operating officer.

Mr. Norment earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Bill Nowicke is responsible for managing the transition of newly acquired companies into Platinum Equity’s portfolio. He also has responsibilities related to post-transition monitoring and oversight of operational performance at certain portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Platinum Equity, Mr. Nowicke held roles at Chrysler, AlixPartners and Agility.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oakland University, a Master’s in Systems Engineering from Oakland University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.

As a member of Platinum Equity’s M&A Operations team, Sean Ramsey is responsible for performing operational and commercial due diligence on potential acquisition targets and for developing post-acquisition transition and value creation plans.

Mr. Ramsey joined Platinum in 2014. He previously held positions in Alvarez & Marsal’s Private Equity Practice and prior to that at Ernst & Young, Accenture and DuPont.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from West Virginia University and a Master of Business Administration from The Ohio State University.
